Stifford Road

This project proposed an access road through ancient woodland to facilitate HGV movements. Following the refusal of an application, we provided an assessment of the existing woodland which demonstrated its poor condition. A proposal to restore this woodland was brought forward in addition to our input into the design of the access road, which provided an opportunity to create a woodland ride of high biodiversity value. Although the appeal was dismissed, the Inspector agreed that effects on ancient woodland were acceptable.
