Snod Coppice
This scheme involved a proposed expansion of an existing poultry farm, to include two new poultry sheds within part of a designated ancient woodland. We were involved at the early design stage and identified the potential for significant ecological benefits, due to the poor condition of the existing woodland resulting from the dominance of conifers and its isolation. Therefore, a mitigation and compensation package was designed and put forward. The LPA agreed that the significant benefits of the proposals would outweigh the loss of ancient woodland, and planning consent was granted.
